Kingdom Work

Here lately, every time I sit down to start working on my sermon I get so excited I can hardly contain myself! I am so fired up about what I believe God is doing thru Mountain View right now and even more fired up about what the future holds! It's incredible that He allows us to partner with Him to do the work of His heavenly kingdom. God's plan for history is to one day bring the age of this world to a close and establish His kingdom for the rest of eternity. When will that happen? Who knows when the date will be, but Jesus said in Matthew 24 that it will happen "when the good news of the kingdom is preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations..." So the work we are doing, when we're sharing the love of Christ with the world, is helping bring about the time when God's eternal kingdom will be established. That's so cool! God could have done that in a hundred thousand other ways, but He chose to invite us to be His co-laborers. When I look back over the past 8 years I can see God's finger prints all over the ministries that have taken place thru our faith family. The work in Central America with the planting of the churches there. The plans for constructing a school during this fiscal year in the village of Trojilo. The Bible College and the completion of the training facility in Bethel. Our partnership with the church of Morocon and Pastor Pedro. Not to mention all the thousands that have been ministered to with the message of God's love and grace. Do you realize that God has been delaying His return so that we can be involved in sharing the gospel with more and more people? It's not His will that anyone should perish without knowing Him. That's what makes the work we do so important. We are involved in making a difference for all eternity - a difference of life and death. Who do you know that will be in heaven because you shared, cared, prayed and/or served? I hope there are literally hundreds there because of you.
