Hopefully you have heard that this year Mountain View will host a booth at the Sourwood Festival. We will man a space 10X20 and spend Saturday 9am-9pm as well as Sunday 9am-5pm, giving away free Mountain Dew from Mountain View as well as profiling our family of faith and ministries. I believe this can be a tremendous way to attract unchurched folks to come and visit our place. We have several other promotional items - free books, free literature, videos playing, slideshows, a prayer center, and a place to register for a free IPOD Nano. I hope you will not only drop by for a visit, but bring your friends and family members by as well. As a church, our aim is not just to grow numerically, but to reach out to those around us. I believe a family of faith should influence the community and culture. Many times we see churches grow large in number, but their influence doesn't grow. The community isn't being impacted by the church. I believe Christ would instruct us to make a difference in our world... in fact, He did so many times thru His words as well as thru His example. By participating in cultural events like Sourwood, we will hopefully take another step in influencing our neighbors with the grace and love of our Savior. I look forward to seeing you there...

Sourwood
By the way, if you want to help, we will be preparing about 3000+ give aways Thursday around noon at the old sanctuary. We can still use booth workers too. Contact the church if you can help out. Jennifer James is keeping the roster.
