Headed North

Today is a very special day. My son Hunter and I just left Minneapolis, Minnesota and are headed for Ear Falls, Ontario for a week of fishing for walleye and northern Pike. We're with our good friends, Eddie and his son Travis, and I'm sure this is going to be one of the best weeks of our lives. I'm posting this blog from the car as we will be unreachable whenever we get to McVicar Lake. We have no phones, no electricity, no TV, satelites, but that's okay with us all. We'll be staying in a cabin on the lake that has a gas stove, gas refrigerator and a wood stove. My prayer this week is that when we get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday living that we will have some wonderful time with the Lord. I also pray that Hunter and I connect on a level that's deeper than ever before. I'm really proud of him. He just finished his first year of college and is a wonderful young man. I'm looking forward to our time together. Please also pray that God will give me wisdom and direction for some work I will be doing... Well, not so much work as seeking His continuing vision for us.
