About Sunday

What an incredible weekend!!! I am so amazed at the presence of God in our worship services. A few observations about yesterday...
1. I loved the acoustic set for worship. It reminded me of the intimate times I have spent in worship during my earlier years!!!
2. What a tremendous pleasure to dedicate a whole family of children to Christ!!! The Flints have such a beautiful "gang" of young'uns.
3. What a wonderful blessing to ordain Adam at the 11:00 am service. Many of you may not know this, but Adam's father has advanced stage lymphoma. He is no longer responding to chemo and has had one failed treatment of bone stems. He is undergoing a radical treatment next week, and was overwhelmed to see Adam ordained before he goes to Duke. Please keep him in your prayers.
4. We saw at least 6 people make commitments to Christ today!!! That never gets old. God is doing some amazing things in this place.
5. The church was PACKED at the 11:00 pm service. We need to start planning for more space!!! I told you this year was going to be HUGE!!!
6. Thanks for all of you who faithfully volunteer at MVC. Two visiting families came up to me after church and told me how warmly welcomed they were by the greeters and the rest of the faith family!!! You are making a difference.
7. I'm looking forward to blessing Swannanoa Valley Christian Ministries with the food drive. We are continuing to collect food for two more weeks. Thanks for those of you who have already participated!!! Keep it coming!!!
8. I never cease to be amazed at what God is doing in our midst. I am so tremendously thankful and unspeakably blessed to be your pastor. I love each one of you and I am glad we are on this great journey together!!!! God bless you all.
