About Sunday

What an incredible day yesterday!!! The worship was awesome and the healing service was tremendous. Whenever we do something like that, I never cease to be amazed at the needs of those of you that come forward. At the same time, however, I am completely blown away by God's desire to intervene in our lives and heal our sickness, pain, hurts, struggles and hangups. He is awesome!!!
1. As I mentioned, the food drive for the Swannanoa Valley Christian Ministry is running behind schedule. Please remember to bring in non-perishable food for this important outreach effort.
2. Isn't it good to know that good behavior is not what is required to have a pure heart? If it were left up to us, we could never be able to measure up to the standard required by Christ.
3. God's grace is truly amazing. What an incredible comfort to know that even though He knows everything about us - past, present and future - yet He still loves us with an everlasting love.
4. Yes, I did say that God has seen all of our "fallen shorts". Just checking to see if you all were awake. A lot of you were not at the top of your game!!!
5. We seriously need help in the nursery and children's ministry. I was serious folks. If everyone would do their part, there wouldn't be an excessive workload on anyone. Please be a part.
6. I am so excited at what God is doing in our faith family!!! It is very apparent that He is still at work in and thru MVC!!!
7. So often we come to church to get a "warm fuzzy" feeling about ourselves and leave our wish list at the altar instead of humbling ourselves before God and examining our hearts.
8. Be sure not to miss your LifeGroup study this week. It's going to be intense!!! But it will also be liberating and lead to true freedom.
I truly love being your pastor. Serving at MVC is the most exciting time of my life. Don't miss next week. It's going to be awesome!!!
