I never cease to be amazed at how God wants to move in and thru His children to achieve great things for His glory. And He continually challenges us to move from where we are so that we can go to a place of higher and greater blessing. Yesterday was an incredible display of His desire.
1. Many of you that volunteered to move in the Montreat freshmen and serve hotdogs and hamburgers to the students this past weekend saw the results of your labor. I never get tired of seeing half a section in the auditorium filled up with excited, worshiping college students.
2. Isn't it great to know that in a world where the economy seems to be in turmoil, job security doesn't seem so secure anymore, and uncertainty looms on the horizon, that God is in control and we don't have to worry?
3. If God really did say in Jeremiah 29:11, “For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Why do so many of us live as though we don't believe Him?
4. I was excited to hear about all the folks waiting to get into a LifeGroup. I challenge some of you to open up your homes and be hosts for this next study. It's going to be exciting!
5. Great to see that the 9:30 service is growing and going so well. Keep inviting your friends and let's pack out both of our current services so we can start a third! I can hardly wait until next Sunday. Summer vacation will be over. You'd better get here early or you might not have a place to park!
6. Worship was awesome. Jennifer was inspired in both services! And the band continues to pump out anointed sounds of praise! Keep it up!
I truly believe that the growth we've experienced up until now, both physically as well as spiritually, is just a foretaste of what God is getting ready to do at Mountain View. Let's get ready to rock Western North Carolina for the glory of Jesus! Let's continue to make Him famous - one life at a time!
